I finally finalised this trip fairly late in the year. I booked three nights in St Lucia, Two nights in Richard’s Bay and then one night in the KZN Midlands. This was 100% a birding trip. I wanted 9 Lifers to get to the 600 mark, and ended the trip with 15 lifers. It was a short but incredible trip.

I spent three nights in St Lucia and also visited iSimangaliso Wetland Park and Hluhluwe-iMfolozi Park. The birding in St Lucia was incredible and you can read about it HERE.
