This Kruger trip was a little different to previous trips. I booked 5 nights in Skukuza. Skukuza is my favourite camp, and I have spent a lot of time there in recent years. The camp and the south of the Park have now become very familiar to me.

Instead of booking accommodation in a chalet or safari tent, I booked a camp site. It would be a new experience for me, and I was rather excited about it.

I knew the Park had had a lot of rain, and I expected the bush to be thick and lush. I was not sure how much I would see. When I arrived I saw that the Park was indeed as green and lush as I expected. As far as sightings were concerned – well, you will need to read below to see if I saw anything.
