Tree Squirrel

While driving on the Sweni road, I spotted this little fella on the very tip of a dead tree.Tree Squirrel

His friend joined him to see what he was looking at.Tree Squirrel

I caught this cutie having lunch at the Letaba camp.Tree Squirrel Tree Squirrel

While I was having breakfast at the Makhadzi picnic site, another one was foraging under a nearby tree.

Tsessebe

I’ve only had one sighting of these antelope in Kruger and was thrilled to see a small herd right next to the road just outside Mopani. Another great birthday present!TsessebeTsessebe Tsessebe

Tchagra

Tchagras can be rather difficult to see and photograph. They are rarely in the open and are always moving. This is especially true of the Black-crowned Tchagra (for me anyway). I was fortunate to see both Brown-crowned and Black-crowned Tchagras and was able to get some decent pics as well. It is great to be able to compare the differences between the two birds so clearly.

Tropic of Capricorn

I knew I could not skip a visit to the Tropic of Capricorn while I was in the Mopani area. After lunch I headed north for a quick visit to this well-known site.Tropic of Capricorn
