At some stage during the almost 48 hours that we spent in the park we drove along a road when I spotted 2 gray shapes in the bushes. The larger of the two disappeared into the thicket, but the smaller one dawdles a bit. he was not a little baby, but I found it adorable that the was still staying close to mom.
After we waited patiently for a few minutes he moved out into the open. He stood there for a while just looking at us looking at him.
He had the cutest little orange mouth.
Seeing a Black Rhino in MZNP has always been right at the top of my wish list. I’ve been fortunate to see them on 3 of my 5 visits. It was the best feeling to spend some time with this magical creature.
