A story about New Life in the Time of Covid
November is the month that the impala lambs are born. I saw many that could not have been much older than a couple of weeks.
They were lively little things and I just loved watching them sprint around on those slim legs.
There were so many of these cute ones. After play time came rest time,
These baby impalas were undeniably cute.

A story about those that represent the Sanparks Logo
Kudus are the most majestic of all the antelope. They move in the most graceful manner. I saw a couple of bulls with really beautiful horns.
There were also some younger bulls whose horns were just starting to grow. This one was hiding behind his girl.
And although the Sanparks logo depicts the kudu bull, it is impossible to resist the beautiful females..

A story about taking care of each other
I was on my way back to camp late one afternoon when I came across these two. It was so sweet to see them huddled together and then the one started to groom the other one. It was such a special moment and melted my heart.

A story about Kruger’s Tallest and shortest
Who doesn’t love Kruger’s tallest animal. Giraffes always look like they do not have a care in the world, but they can also be surprisingly agile when needed.
And then there are two of Kruger‘s shortest herbivores. I saw many Steenbokkies but most were to shy for photos.
Seeing Klipspringers is always special. I was lucky to see this watchful little fellow.

A story about bunnies in the day
This is one of those instances where you find something completely unexpected when looking for something else.
Just before the H5 turn off south of Lower Sabie I saw a car towing a caravan parked next to the road. I stopped to ask what they were looking at and the guy informed me that if I look just past his caravan, I will find a male lion sleeping in the grass. But as I inched forward to look behind his caravan, I forgot about the lion because I saw something completely unexpected.
These two bunnies were resting under a bush just a few meters from where the lion was sleeping. You often find scrub hares on sunset and night drives. I thought that it was really cool to see them in broad daylight, and then not just one, but two!
Oh, and I did see the lion, but he was barely visible, and I did not even bother to take a photo.
